Synopsis

Messina, Sicily, 1908

Messina is one of the most thriving cities of the Mediterranean; its extensive port hosts British shipping companies. Several english people have moved there to trade in wine, spices and sulphur.
Thirteen years old Peter is the sole heir to the fabulously wealthy Hoffman family.
A spoilt bully, he unleashes his cruelty on everyone in the house, from maids to other children and animals.
No one dares stand up to him until Alfredo, the son of the gardener, decides the time has come to make Peter pay.
He takes him captive, trapping him in an unimaginable place. One hundred and eleven years later Peter is still waiting to be found.
